His eccentric observations about himself and his surroundings provide a different light on everyday life.\nHe has had his act played through the airwaves of SiriusXM\, was featured at Levity Comedy Club and was recently nominated for an I Heart Joke Award. \nEthan co-produces a monthly show in Toronto called Cabbage Head Comedy and is currently striving to travel his act across Canada. \nAJ Bate \nAJ Bate is new to Canada and is still experiencing his new found freedom. On stage you can find him sharing his experience living here\, from dating to being mistaken for a Mexican.\nHe has performed all over Ontario and was recently a finalist in Comedian of the North and CBC’s Next Up. \nJoe Botelho \nHamilton comic Joe Botelho has been all over Ontario and Quebec and is known already for his quick wit and his audience connecting crowd work. Joe has also appeared on on Ed the Sock’s FU Network and can be seen on the stages of Yuk Yuk’s and Absolute Comedy Clubs. \nMatt Keenan \nMatt Keenan is a Comedian from the small town of Hampton\, NB now living in the big city of Toronto\, ON. \nOn only his 7th time on stage\, he took 3rd place in the CBC Radio HubCap Comedy Competition\, competing against amateurs and seasoned vets from across The Maritimes. Soon after\, he claimed 1st place\, in James Mullinger’s Comedy Boot Camp earning him the title of New Brunswick’s funniest. SUMMARY:Standup Comedy- Hughie and Ryan back in Halifax
DESCRIPTION:Hughie Batherson\, on a whim\, stepped on a stage for a Juste pour rire (Just For Laughs) amateur competition and walked away the winner despite it being his first time on stage doing stand-up comedy. The next night he performed in front of a sold out crowd of 800 people at the Hubcap Comedy Festival Gala in Moncton\, NB. He was quickly invited to join the `Juste pour rire` comedians for parts of their National Tour and has performed in Ontario\, Quebec\, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. He does standup in both English and French . Hughie is from North Sydney\, NS.\nHughie has been a sought-after motivational speaker performing nationwide for the past 15 years. He is a very engaging individual whose enthusiastic and humourous presentations leave his audience wanting more. His passion for languages\, culture\, humour\, mental health\, and connecting with others is infectious and he shares this passion in both English and French. He has presented to more than 50 000 people and has left them laughing and reflecting at the same time! He began his career performing with the theatre troup “Les araignées de boui-boui” and presenting mime sketches in a cafe at the Université Sainte-Anne. These sketches later evolved into his first one-man-show Ryan Doucette: Première Ronde\, which brought audiences to their feet throughout Canada\, the United-States\, and France. He then « En plein dans le mille » from RADARTS and « RADARTS — RIDEAU » in 2012 with his second on man show. He has played in clubs all around Canada\, and the USA.
