Yet the history of their people has been marked by tragedies:\n• In 1944\, the entire nation was deported by the Soviet regime\, a crime against humanity.\n• After decades in exile\, they returned home\, but since 2014 they have faced a new wave of persecution due to Russia’s occupation of Crimea. \nThe film we present is not only about the pain of the Crimean Tatars\, but also about the pain of all Ukraine\, for the fate of Crimea is inseparably linked with the future of the Ukrainian state. \n⸻ \n📅 When: Sunday\, October 26\, 2025\n🕔 Time: 5:00 PM\n📍 Where: Bus Stop Theatre Co-op\, 2203 Gottingen St\, Halifax \n🎟 Free admission \n⸻ \n🌍 This screening is an opportunity to learn more about a history that concerns not only Ukraine\, but the whole world — because it is about human rights\, the struggle for freedom\, and the memory of injustice. \nCome and hear the voice of a people that cannot be silenced.\nTogether we are stronger! 💙💛
