DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of the year again!! \nAs a remount of one of our most exciting and successful fundraisers of last year\, join The Bus Stop Theatre Co-op for our live gift basket auction! \nAll funds go toward supporting the Bus Stop Theatre 🎉🎉 \nBaskets are donated by our wonderful co-op members and companies\, and contain anything under the sun! Mixes of tickets\, merch\, baked treats\, gift certificates\, and tons of other goodies are lovingly assembled by one of our many participating companies. It’s the perfect theatre and arts holiday gift stop! \nThere will be a mix of Live Auction baskets (hosted by famed Merritt host Andrew Chandler) as well as many silent auction baskets for bid. SUMMARY:Halifax Stands With Water Protectors - Silent Auction Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Water protectors are on the front lines at the mighty Shubenacadie River resisting Alton Gas. They are doing crucial work to protect the water for all of us. With winter coming\, they need our support to keep them warm and safe. \nProceeds from this third annual silent auction and performance fundraiser will directly support frontline resistance efforts against the Alton Gas Natural Gas Storage project. \nThe event is being planned on unceded Mi’kmaq Territory by SWAGR (Solidarity With Alton Gas Resistance)\, a Halifax-based group of activists from Council of Canadians\, Ecology Action Centre\, Solidarity Halifax\, and the general community. The focus of this group is to support resistance efforts against the Alton Natural Gas Storage Project\, and we take our direction from frontline Mi’kmaq communities and other residents of the surrounding area. \nThanks to Rachel Caroline Derrah for the poster ♥ \nPerformers TBA
