DESCRIPTION:As the Bus Stop Theatre enters its 15th year as a vital hub of theatre and culture in the city\, we’re preparing for its exciting new future… as a vital hub of theatre and culture in the city. We’re not changing our purpose\, we’re living up to it. Come join in: Our Annual General Meeting is on March 18th\, and you’re invited! \nTo celebrate our anniversary\, a FREE COMPANY MEMBERSHIP will be drawn as a door prize at our AGM thanks to Nitrotek Web Solutions !!! \nAt the AGM\, we’ll be reviewing some of our accomplishments over the last year\, and there’ll be an update on our plans for 2018. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about the theatre\, and you’ll be able get involved by signing up as a committee volunteer. Membership sign-ups and renewals at all levels will also be available. \nAlso\, there will be elections for next year’s Board of Directors. New voices are always encouraged — we welcome the chance to broaden our board’s horizons. If you are curious about running for a spot on the board\, feel free to contact us for more information! \nVolunteers and members are important\, but we also depend on the support and engagement of the community itself\, so feel free to extend this invitation to anyone you’d think would be interested. \nWe hope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:THE BUS STOP THEATRE CO-OP TRADE SCHOOL \nAllan is bringing his expertise to the Bus Stop Theatre for a crash course on live sound reinforcement to share as much as he can with folks who want to get a basic understanding of audio fundamentals and how they work in the live setting and will be sure to drop more than a few pointers\, tips and tricks along the way. \n>>REGISTER HERE \n“We will be covering everything from the ground up. From cables to mixing a singer songwriter. My goal is to get people to the level of comfort that they can go out and do this for small shows the next day and be confident in what they can do” \nWith over fifteen years in the music production and live entertainment industry\, Allan has worked in every aspect of the business from both sides of the studio glass and stage all over north America in various recording studios and venues. He has learned the industry from the ground up. \n“It’s important to not only know what your job is\, but also what the artist is thinking and trying to portray. It’s their art and you need to be able to interpret that for them. This comes with being in their shoes as much as possible” \nAllan has taught many interns the ropes and learned from some of the best in the industry. Working alongside of top recording and live engineers and dealing with international and local acts\, he has been able to learn on the road as well as being trained by leading digital arts and community colleges and has been working steady in the industry for the last six years in Atlantic Canada as a live technician and performer. \nWho can attend?\nAnyone! DESCRIPTION:The Bus Stop Theatre Co-op presents WIT: Women in Theatre\, a three-day celebration\, showcase\, and skill-building weekend of love. \nWomen\, females\, femmes\, and the feminine\, 2018 is our year. \nJoin us March 30-April 1st or a series of workshops\, readings\, and laughter. WIT provides an opportunity for women off all skill levels to learn from other women and engage with their peers. \nFRIDAY:\nLearn to fight with Karen Bassett [workshop] 10am – 12pm\nMix some sick beats with DJ lil’ arepa!
