DESCRIPTION:The Bus Stop Theatre Co-op presents WIT: Women in Theatre\, a three-day celebration\, showcase\, and skill-building weekend of love. \nWomen\, females\, femmes\, and the feminine\, 2018 is our year. \nJoin us March 30-April 1st or a series of workshops\, readings\, and laughter. WIT provides an opportunity for women off all skill levels to learn from other women and engage with their peers. \nFRIDAY:\nLearn to fight with Karen Bassett [workshop] 10am – 12pm\nMix some sick beats with DJ lil’ arepa! [workshop] 1pm – 3pm \nWomen in Theatre panel 6 – 7:30pm\nThe Witches Ball — Get down with your inner feminine magic 9pm  \n————————–————————–—- \nSATURDAY:\nAnalyse text like a director with Lara Lewis and Anna Shepard [workshop] 11am – 4pm \nReadings + film screenings of local women’s work 7:30pm\nOpen mic + Karaoke 9:30pm \n————————–————————–—- \nSUNDAY:\nLearn how to make people laugh (improv) with Stepheny Hunter [workshop] 11am – 4pm \nApril Fool’s Femme comedy night 7:30pm \nTICKETS available at tickethalifax.ca\nWorkshops: Pay in cash: $30 for all four or $10 each. Using the Four Expressive Vocabularies of performance\, the international actor is able to cross boundaries of all kinds to touch audiences in different cultures and different communities. BoxWhatBox\, Michael’s internationally recognized performance creation and actor-training system\, has featured in more than twenty countries on five continents\, including work in Kampala (UG)\, Accra (GH)\, Jyväskylä (FIN) and Beirut (LB). DESCRIPTION:THE BUS STOP THEATRE CO-OP TRADE SCHOOL \n2 level courses on using SketchUP software: \nINTRO STUDIO\nDays 1 and 2: Sunday\, April 22 + Saturday\, April 28\n9:00 AM to 4:00 PM \n>> REGISTER HERE\n\nINTRO STUDIO is meant for anyone wanting to get involved in digital Set Design using the programme: SketchUP.\n\nAlthough designed as an architect’s tool\, SketchUP has emerged as the “go-to” drawing software for Film and Theatre Production Work as well as Industrial and Furniture Design due to its ease of use and extensive free library of theatre and “real-world” models.\n\nThe course is taught on Mac’s\, although if you have a PC the interface is almost identical. Students should have updated their operating system to the most recent Mac version (V10.13 at the time of printing). If your operating system is old\, you may need to go to the Apple store.\n\nOnce your operating system is up-to-speed\, you will need to install SketchUP MAKE.
