SUMMARY:The Art of Working While Black: An Art Exhibit of the Black Experience
DESCRIPTION:Please join us in celebration of African Liberation Month for an art exhibit of six local Black Nova Scotian artists. We will journey through these experiences through narrative performances of the local theater group iMOVe\, and be reminded of the resilience through instrumentalists\, and vocal performers. \nThe event is free and everyone is welcome! Locally catered refreshments and free childcare will be provided on site. Cash bar will be open. \n****\nThis event is a collaboration between CUPE and Working While Black. Working While Black is a project of community groups Ujamaa\, Solidarity Halifax and the Kwacha House Cafe.

And will include live performances by the three groups that took part in the program. \nDoors open @ 8:30PM – StArt Festival soft launch reception with special surprise\nScreening & Performances from 9PM-11PM \n* Please note this is a FREE event. Venue is wheelchair accessible and offers gender neutral washrooms. \n \n– StART Festival – Opening Night – Saturday\, March 25th – \n \nCome out for a fun filled evening of African and Caribbean vibes.
