This exciting event is the first of its kind and aims to spotlight the incredible talent of Burlesque performers in Atlantic Canada\, foster community growth\, and provide networking opportunities with the wider burlesque world. The event is being organized by a brand new non-profit cooperative composed of burlesque performers from throughout the region. On January 13th\, this cooperative will be hosting a fundraising event at the Bus Stop Theatre and promises to be a very big deal!!! They have pulled together talent from every major burlesque company in Halifax (as well as some surprises from away) for one unforgettable night of laughter\, seduction\, joy and celebration of performing art. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of new original and improvised music by Yarrow Trio and Angela Sande. Yarrow Trio features:\n\n\nNicola Miller on alto saxophone\nSam Wilson on guitar\nGabriella Ciurcovich on bass\n\nYarrow focuses on lush\, warm textures and melodies\, while occasionally dipping their toes into more experimental sounds with each musician contributing their unique musical identity within the ensemble. Yarrow performs original music that ventures into various forms of improvisation as well as some of the more obscure jazz repertoire\, folk music\, Brecht\, and more.\n\nAngela Sande is a Halifax based jazz vocalist and songwriter. This performance will showcase an eclectic mix of new original songs\, blending modern jazz and singer-songwriter sensibilities.
