DESCRIPTION:Following the performance of a play there is often a Q&A\, usually an awkward and revealing ritual.\nThis Q&A follows a play the audience HASN’T seen. The Q&A IS the play. \nThe real audience is invited to ask questions and play their part\, while the answers from the cast and moderator reveal a dysfunctional backstage and a bankrupt theatre company slipping into obsolescence. SUMMARY:Unwrapped l A Queer Holdiay Concert
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening of live music\, and community celebration. \nFeaturing local Queer musicians\, the concert will include mostly non-traditional music\, while celebrating the diversity of our community. From solos\, duets\, and the entire cast\, there will be a variety of performances throughout the evening. Last year we almost sold out so we encourage folks to grab their tickets in advance! \nPerformers include: Riley Reign\, Jade Bennett\, Kiana Josette\, and Natasha Sophia. We’re also excited to announce that the Halifax Queer Ensemble will be providing LIVE music during the show. \nWe’re also hosting a FREE pot-luck-style lunch the day of\, with a craft workshop. Craft ornaments will be added to our community tree which will be on display in the theatre during the show. If folks can’t attend\, the event will be live-streamed so you can enjoy it from the comfort of home. \nBoth our concert and potluck are a great way to gather as a community\, connect with new friends\, and celebrate the upcoming holidays. \n

DESCRIPTION:While the night may be dark\, the  The Bus Stop Theatre will be aglow with laughs\, libations\, and good cheer during this very special Autobiographical Christmas Special featuring Logan Robins & Olivier Blais!  \nWHEN?\nThe doors to the lobby and bar will open half an hour before the show at 7pm\, with the show starting at 7:30pm! The first act will run approximately 45 minutes\, followed by a 15 minute intermission (to reset the stage and refill your drinks)\, and a second act of approximately 45 minutes. \nWHERE?\nAt The Bus Stop Theatre Co-op! \nHOW DOES IT WORK?\nAutobiographical Fiction is an entirely improvised solo show created by the audience (including you)! Before each of the two acts begin the audience will have a chance to fill the stage with a wide array of costumes and props while also filling out sticky notes with festive-themed prompts\, lines\, song recommendations\, and more! This is a chance to be creative\, collaborative\, and a little silly as you unleash your inner playwright/director/set designer/sound designer/costume designer!\n*Audience participation is never mandatory. Your’e safe. We promise… \nSHOULD I BRING ANYTHING?\nAs a matter of fact… Yes (if you’d like to)!! \nWhile we will provide sticky notes and writing utensils (and some festive props/set) we would love you to bring something from home that you would like to donate this holiday season! Wether it be a winter-coat you’ve outgrown or a coffee table that has never quite worked in your living room\, we are accepting donations of any non-perishable item which will be used in the show and then cleaned\, delivered\, and donated by UDTCo. to Out of the Cold Community Association (and other charitable orginizations). \nThat’s right! You’re an improviser looking to add a couple of things to your yes-and toolbelt? You’re an international spy with sensitive military secrets on the run from the government and you need to lay low for a few hours? We got just the thing! \nLogan Robins and Olivier Blais are hosting a special\, one time only workshop at the Bus Stop Theatre dissecting the format for their show. In this workshop\, they will lead you through helpful creative exercises\, discuss the strategies and difficulties of doing a solo improvised show and guide you through performing a small\, shortened version of the show. By the end of this workshop\, you’ll know how our brains work when we sweat on stage: which is great because a workshop ticket also gets you a ticket to the show!
