Mayworks Kjiputkuk/Halifax is Atlantic Canada’s largest labour and social justice themed cultural event. Spanning over several weeks, the multi-disciplinary festival serves as an extended celebration of International Workers’ Day, aka May Day.
The festival annually presents works of art that bring light to various issues of social, economic and environmental justice. Its core mission is to foster a culture of solidarity.
