DESCRIPTION:QUEER MAGIC is en evening of connection\, celebration\, sharing\, and most importantly\, a magic show! This event will feature comedy openers from HMC’s ‘queer mental health and comedy program’ and a full length show from our featured performer\, Magician Bill Wood. \nThis event aims to help build queer community and connection in Halifax among people who care about mental health\, in a fun & low-pressure social setting. \nLight refereshments will be provided and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Registration is appreciated\, but not mandatory. \nAbout Magician Bill Wood \nBill Wood is a magician\, comedian\, actor and a delight. He has been performing magic professionally for over 25 years. You might recognize him from his work with comedy troupe Picnicface or as Frank the guidance counselor on CBC’s Mr. D. \nAs a magician he has performed in Comedy Clubs\, at Corporate events and in the finest living rooms filled with friends and family. He has toured around the maritimes as part of Atlantic Cirque and he has presented his current full evening show at the Chester PlayHouse\, Neptune Theatre\, and many other venues. \nEvent Details \nWhen: Sunday\, November 17\, 6:00pm \nWhere: The Bus Stop Theater\, 2203 Gottingen St\, Halifax\, NS B3K 3B5. \nCost: Free \nAlcohol available: No \nAccesibility info: The space is fully wheelchair accessible and has single-stall\, all-gender washrooms. There will be no strobe or flash lighting during the show. \nAbout the Circle of Support \nHMC’s Circle of Support is a resrouce sharing and supportive network of 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and their educated allies who care about suicide prevention within queer\, trans\, and 2Spirit comminities. We aim to host at least one event per month (trianing\, learning session\, social event\, etc).
