She is known for her quirky\, girly approach to dark subject matter. She also\, miraculously\, has a dead dad. \nA longtime fixture of the Halifax comedy scene\, Catherine Robertson is the kind of no-nonsense mama bear that everybody needs in their life. She’s also absolutely hilarious\, helping audiences across the maritimes laugh at everyday irritations with her devastatingly wry comedy. She produces and hosts the weekly show “Catherine Robertson’s Comedy Hour” at Bearly’s House of Blues every Wednesday night\, Halifax’s longest running independent comedy show. Robertson has previously appeared at the Halifax Comedy Fest\, the PEI Comedy Festival\, and her work can be heard on SiriusXM. \nOriginally from Lebanon\, Karim has recently come to Canada\, new to the comedy scene\, here to showcase his story. Like so many others\, the draw had always been towards feature films. If he were a pony (which he is not)\, The Corridor – essentially – could be described as his one (true) trick. It was a trick that showed at festivals around the world\, and gathered some acclaim and appreciators along the way. \nJosh MacDonald (writer\, The Corridor) is the winner of an AMD/Dell “Next Wave” Award for Best Screenplay from Fantastic Fest in Austin\, TX\, for The Corridor. He is also the writer of the feature comedy-drama Faith\, Fraud & Minimum Wage. Josh’s stage plays #IAmTheCheese (based on Robert Cormier’s YA novel)\, The Mystery Play\, Whereveville and Halo are published by Talonbooks. Josh also teaches screenwriting at NSCAD University. \nCraig Cameron (producer\, The Corridor) is a seasoned filmmaker based in Halifax\, with over two decades of experience in the film and television industry. His extensive experience spans various roles such as a producer\, assistant director\, and production manager on both local and international productions. Whatever you name it\, organizations benefit from it. \n\n\n\nLimerent Pittsburgh\nby Anne Ciecko (USA: English) – 3 min \n \nA videopoem revisiting the rust belt city is a site of rekindling of memories and mythologies of labour and family. \n\nMotown South\nby Samuel George (USA: English) – 20 min \n \n\n\nThe electric vehicle industry is booming in the American South\, so much so that the region has earned the nickname the “Battery Belt”. \nBut why are producers setting up shop in states such as Georgia\, Alabama and Tennessee? In part\, the trend stems from a historic lack of union representation there. But workers – and labor organizers – have noticed. And they are starting to push back. How this emerging dynamic plays out could transform the future of American industry. \n\n\n\nGhost Workers\nby Lisette Olsthoorn (Netherlands: English) – 26 min \n \n\n\nIn a film set in which their home offices have been recreated\, six European microworkers share experiences with the filmmaker and with each other\, offering an affecting critique on changing labour conditions. \nGhost Workers is a cinematic research project into the people conducting the often hidden labor necessary to make artificial intelligence work. Working from home\, not being recognized as a worker by the platforms that they work for and being misunderstood by family and friends all together creates strong feelings of isolation. Therefore\, the filmmaker invited six workers from across Europe to share their work experiences with her and with each other. Focusing on the theme of isolation and recognition as a ‘real worker\,’ the film engages in a collective conversation about this type of work.

An adjustable grab bar is also available to the left of the toilet. The other two bathrooms are not fully accessible but do have grab bars.
