Join the Bus Stop Theatre Playwrights Unit and Eastern Front Theatre for PITCH IT! A crop of emerging and established Nova Scotian playwrights will be invited to pitch their most compelling play ideas to fellow theatre artists, presenters, and the Stages Festival audience. Following each pitch, audience members will be invited to ask questions and engage with the playwrights before a panel of producers chooses the 2018 PITCH IT winner.
Hosted by playwright Meghan Hubley, PITCH IT’s producer panel includes 2017 winner Rebecca Falvey, EFT’s Artistic Director Sam Rosenthal, Ship Company Theatre’s Artistic Producer Natasha MacLellan, acclaimed film creator and emerging theatre artist Koumbie, and incoming QueerAct’s Festival Co-Director Lee-Anne Poole.
Our finalist and their winning idea will receive on-going dramaturgical support and development from the Bus Stop Theatre Playwrights Unit and Eastern Front Theatre, plus a workshop presentation in the 2019 Stages Festival.
