Advisory: COVID 19

At this time, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has assessed the public health risk associated with COVID-19 as low for the general population in Canada. The Government of Canada is confident that the Canadian public health system is prepared to respond to any outbreak of COVID-19 and is reassessing the public health risk, based on the best available evidence, as the situation evolves.

While the government of Nova Scotia is recommending that non-essential gatherings of more than 150 people be reconsidered, there are no directives or recommendations suggesting that smaller events such as those hosted by the Bus Stop Theatre not go ahead as planned.

Here at the Bus Stop Theatre, we are taking measures to help prevent the spread of germs and microbes. Hand sanitizer is available in our lobby and we have hired extra cleaning staff to ensure that surfaces and handles are disinfected before and after every event.

While the Bus Stop Theatre continues its regular operations, we advise audiences to contact the producing company of any event hosted here ahead of time as they may themselves decide to alter their plans.

As we welcome audiences to the many wonderful events we continue to host, we do encourage anyone feeling sick to stay home until their health is recovered and for those that have recently traveled to follow the government recommendations for self-isolation.
