Temporary Impact on Accessibility

As a result of unavoidable construction delays, the entrance to the Bus Stop Theatre will be temporarily inaccessible to wheel chair users.

This will impact events and visiting patrons during the months of February, March and into early April.

We recognize the impact this has on many who cherish the Bus Stop Theatre as a safe and accessible space and deeply apologize for the unfortunate circumstances.

Renovation work can be challenging at the best of times. COVID and its associated impacts resulting in administrative delays, supply shortages and cost increases have made these challenges exponentially worse.

As many of you know, the central focus of our renovation project has been to improve accessibility at the Bus Stop, which makes this set back all the more bitter. Please rest assured that we are working hard to complete the needed work on our front entrance and we look forward to welcoming everyone in the near future.

Until work is complete, the theatre can be accessed through a set of two offset doors of off Gottingen Street. This entryway is accessible to most who have the ability to walk, but is currently inaccessible to those using a wheel chair or power chair.

We thank you for your patience as we work through this challenge and invite anyone facing barriers due to this situation to contact us at info@busstoptheatre.coop to offer feedback or to inquire about possible accommodations.

In cooperation,

The Bus Stop Theatre Co-op
