We are very happy to announce our first concert of 2019/20: Erwan Keravec is a French bagpiper who is taking what we know as Scottish Highland pipes to new terrain. Hamid Drake is just about the best known American improvising percussionist. They’ll be flying straight to Halifax from a performance at The Guelph Jazz Festival and we can’t wait to hear their show! What a great opportunity to hear instrumental innovation and great music from two musical leaders!
This special concert will begin with a set by Halifax-based saxophonist and improviser Andrew MacKelvie.
