On May 29th, the Bus Stop Theatre will host The Boylesque Extravaganza, an event promising to be a uniquely shocking and exhilarating experience. The event is produced by Atlantic Boylesque, a collaboration of male and non-binary performers who are excited to create an alternative to the female-focused burlesque productions and drag shows that have become so popular in the city. All massive fans of Halifax’s blooming burlesque scene, the producers are eager to explore the creative energy and esthetics that might come out of an all male and non-binary show. Aiming to create a non-toxic, non-heteronormative and sexually positive space, Atlantic Boylesque is focused on challenging norms, exceeding expectations, and stealing your sleep away. Boasting a lineup of ten performers, including two pole dancers, a magician and a stand-up comedian as host, the show is sure to make a big impact.
