Halifax disX – Stories from the deaf and disabled communities

DisabilityX(disX) is an event where you won’t hear the typical media stories of inspiration written by non-disabled journalists. At disX will hear directly from disabled artists, workers, advocates and activists, in a no nonsense setting. Their stories will make you think and possibly challenge the way you look at disability and disabled people. Not about sympathy, this is about empathy and the power one person has to transform the world around them, a world not build with their needs in mind.
