Microworlds will open Tuesday Dec 14 with a small reception from 6PM to 8PM. The artist will be in attendance and all are welcome. The show will run alongside A workshop of THERE is A PARTY AT THE END OF THIS PLAY or TBD by Rooks Field-Green in conjunction with the Bus Stop Theatre’s Writers’ Circle. The exhibit will be on display in the Lobby of The Bus Stop Theatre.
Steph is a Nova Scotian artist who calls Halifax home. They have a varied background which they bring to their work. Currently focused on embroidery and interested particularly in using embroidery and fibre art as a sculptural medium. They are proud to present their first solo exhibition.
Microworlds will remain on view until Saturday Dec 18. The exhibition is a selection of pieces belonging to an ongoing body of work exploring the diversity and wonder found in the microscopic and tiny worlds underfoot, under water, and under the lens. The artist delights in exploring the known and yet to be discovered and new ways of creating and representing these tiny worlds. The works range from realistic and identifiable subject matter to the more abstract.
