Misery Loves Theatre Company presents: The Invocation Process: group creation through primitive psychological technology (i.e10580247_277161679144700_7057857690009871845_n ritual magic).

Rhys Bevan-John and Bill Wood will lead this full day workshop outlining and then using the collective creation process they call the Invocation. This collection of techniques and vocabulary has been used by Misery Loves Theatre Company to create the shows Perfection of Man, Jekyll and Hyde, No One Gave me the Box, Two, Together We are More and the Gonzo New Year Extravaganza.

  1. Bicycles and Opera?!

1002717_610451188986941_151727597_nTHE BICYCLE OPERA PROJECT ANNOUNCES 2015 NOVA SCOTIA TOUR

Nova Scotia- The Bicycle Opera Project announces the details of its ambitious summer East Coast tour, launching in Baddeck, Cape Breton. Cycling their way from Baddeck to Halifax, the artists will perform in Baddeck, Port Hawkesbury, New Glasgow, Truro, and Halifax. The Bicycle Opera Project is the world’s only pedal-powered opera company, founded in 2012 to present high-quality and accessible opera in unique venues via the bicycle. The company will be towing props, costumes, set and instruments all by bicycle trailer, a major challenge through the Nova Scotia terrain.

Larissa Koniuk, Artistic Director – “We’re a group of opera singers who also happen to love cycling and adventure. We thrive on the challenge of getting there on our own steam.” The company is touring their 2015 summer production, shadow box:

  1. The Bus Stop Cooperative Summertime Fair Fundraiser Party!

SUMMMEREEveryone is invited to the BSTC summertime fair! Featuring music from some of Halifax’s favourite musicians Harley Alexander & the Universal Lovers, Scott Nicks and Kurt Inder

It will be a night full of excitement and surprises with all the money going towards the Bus Stop Theatre Cooperative to help support local art and help our community grow! Also, join us for the online membership release party at 9pm to honour all the amazing talented people who are officially the Bus Stop Theatre.
