Matchstick Theatre proudly presents the ten-year anniversary production of Catherine Banks‘ Governor General’s award-winning play Bone Cage, this October at the Bus Stop Theatre. Set against the backdrop of the forestry industry, Bone Cage takes a hard look at the lives of seven people in rural Nova Scotia. Each of the intensely relatable and complex characters is looking to escape, but will their pasts, circumstances, or relationships allow it? It is a bleak, real, and identifiable play that pulls no punches.
The play stars Taylor Olson, Jessy Rose Matthews, Katie Dorian, Sam Vigneault, Sébastien Poissant Labelle, Kyle Gillis, and Hermione Davis. The play is directed by Jake Planinc, stage managed by Chelsea Dickie, produced by Alex Mills, and designed by Wesley Babcock and Alison Crosby.
Tickets are $20 ($15 for students, seniors, underwaged, and Bus Stop Co-op members) and can be booked in advance through Ticket Halifax, or by contacting matchsticktheatre@gmail.co

Bone Cage opens on October 5th, and runs two weekends from the 5th-8th and 12th-15th, with shows at 8:00pm, and 2:00pm Pay What You Can matinees on Sundays. Run time is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, with a 10 minute intermission.
