Traasadi

February 8 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Traasadi – A Story of Love, Loss, and Liberation

Kalaa presents Traasadi by renowned playwright Manav Kaul, the first-ever Hindi play to be staged in Halifax. Directed by Archana Manmohan and performed by Prateek Dhar, this one-man play dives deep into the emotional journey of a son grappling with his memories of a mother who lived life on her own terms. The word “Traasadi” translates to “tragedy” in Hindi, perfectly encapsulating the poignant exploration of familial relationships and personal turmoil.

Falling within the genre of introspective drama, Traasadi is a compelling narrative that examines universal themes of familial conflict, identity, and the lasting impact of choices. With its seamless blend of powerful storytelling and evocative visuals, this production invites audiences to reflect on the bonds that shape us and the sacrifices that define freedom.

Don’t miss this groundbreaking performance that brings Indian theatre to the heart of Halifax.
